Jesus thought us the key to achieving what we really want. Sometimes we say we want things but many times we are lying to ourselves.
The proof of desire is actually in our pursuit. But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” – Luke 9:62
If you want your life to change in a really big way in 2021 and beyond, it’s important you move into the highest level of wanting.
Let’s look at each level…
3 Levels of Wanting
Level #1 – Want
“I want to be _________. (rich, happy, married, successful, skinny and ect)
Everyone wants to be happy, rich and successful. But 95% admit they are none of the above.
Wanting isn’t enough. Wanting implies it’s going to somehow fall into your lap. Just wanting alone is thinking that God is going to wave His big wand and bam…your every desire is met.
Wanting is the weak Sunday morning confession of, “I claim there is a check in the mail for me.”
Confession without action is actually delusional.
Level one wanting causes you to fall into the trap of living life in a vicious circle of always wanting but never getting.
This leads to hopelessness or justification of why you don’t want anything.
Level #2 – Choose
“I choose to be ___________. (rich, happy, married, skinny, successful and ect)
Decision – Latin word means: “To kill any other alternative.”
At this level you’re actually taking responsibility for your outcomes.
Decisions decide your wealth. Most have never decided to go after what they really want.
The difference between the rich and the poor – The rich decided to become rich and the poor have never made that decision. Have you?
Level #3 – Commit
“I commit to be ____________. (rich, happy, married, skinny, successful and ect)
This is the very highest level of wanting that creates real results. This is what it takes to achieve your wants and desires fast.
Commit Defined: To devote oneself unreservedly. Holding nothing back. Doing whatever it takes ethically. It also means to cut away.
This is a…No excuses, if’s, butts, try’s and maybes.
Your wants must become a MUST! If not, you’re interested but not committed.
New statement: I will be ___________ or I will die working at it.
This takes you beyond taking “responsibility” for what you want, it’s taking ownership for what you really want in life.
This is the WARRIORS way.
There is always a price to PAY to getting to your breakthrough moment.
If you are not fully, totally, and truly committed to creating wealth (spiritual, mental, physical, relational, professional and financial), chances are very high you won’t.
Have you committed to getting what you want?
The big question: What are you going to CUT out of your life so you can get it? (TV, video games, relationships, junk food, couch and ect)
